Touring Oregon Day 07
Sunday, July 11, 2021
Today we head east from Portland towards Mount Hood. We come across Bridal Veil Falls and take a hike. A short walk along a fairly easy trail brings us to the Falls. After hiking back out we drive on a short distance to Multnomah Falls. This is even easier access as it is a short paved path from the parking lot!

The hike to the bridge is easy also and we get a few more fun photos!

Then we drive on in search of Mt Hood. Glimpses of the snow capped mountain become regular.

Soon we see signs for “Lavender Valley” and we head in that direction. We pay a nominal $3 admission and are assured that we’ll get that back with any purchase in the gift shop. Our cameras are on the prowl again and the place does not disappoint! Even some other camera laden tourists are out having fun there!

The views here of Mt Hood are spectacular!

We then drive on to Trillium Lake that also has a great view of the mountain!

We keep traveling on towards Eugene, OR where we meet up with Eric and Mary, children of friends of ours that have settled there! We go out to dinner with them and have a great evening!

We spend the night with Eric and Mary and we’ll see you all tomorrow!
